A juicer is a device used to easily squeeze the juice from soft centered fruits. These appliances are designed in such a way so that the user simply has to push the fruit down on the rigid piece in the center and turn the fruit back and forth. This back and forth motion forces the juice out and it is collected in a container. While most juicers are hand-held, there are various electric models on the market today.

A juicer has also been called a juice extractor. These are electric devices rather than being hand-held and they work at various speeds. This type of juicer separates the juice and the pulp, both are collected separately and the juice is discarded if necessary.
